Ultrasound
Our ultrasonography staff is certified by the Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
What is an ultrasound?
- It is a picture produced by soundwaves (sonogram).
- It is used to check the position and size of the baby.
- It also is used to check for any problems.
The ultrasonographer will report the results to your physician, who will then discuss those results with you.
The Woman's Clinic provides one free DVD of the fetus to all OB patients having a complete ultrasound scan after the 12th week of pregnancy.
Please bring the DVD back to the clinic if subsequent ultrasound scans are performed.
Please Note:
Ultrasounds are conducted for medical purposes only. If the gender of the fetus is relayed it is as a courtesy only and does not indicate any guarantee or certainty as to the accuracy of the stated gender.
